"Lawyers are often akin to fire fighters. We work with our clients to put out HR related fires when they arise, and try to ensure that history doesn’t repeat itself. Clients with the least number of fires are those that have engaged in preventative measures long before there is a whiff of smoke. The most effective preventative measure I have seen is workplace training, a process that I take great pride in facilitating. My approach to and value for training is very much embodied by Benjamin Franklin’s famous words: “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn”.
