Union Certifications

Receiving an application to certify a workplace can be complex and time sensitive for employers. The Ontario Labour Relations Act imposes strict and often non extendable deadlines for responding to an Application for Certification, along with stringent obligations governing employer employee relations during the certification process. Our lawyers guide employers through each stage, ensure timely and compliant responses, and work strategically to maximize the opportunity to defeat the application where appropriate.

Collective Bargaining

We represent employers throughout the collective bargaining process, including acting as the employer’s bargaining spokesperson. Our approach is practical and strategic, focused on achieving collective agreements that align with operational realities and business objectives.

Arbitration Representation

We provide cost effective and experienced representation in grievance arbitrations arising from alleged violations of a collective agreement. Where appropriate, we pursue efficient and strategic resolutions to grievances in order to avoid the time and expense of formal arbitration proceedings.
